Obituary
Mrs. Nellie A. Boyd, 86 years, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born May 6, 1919 in Sesser, Illinois, died July 24, 2005 at Eden Village Retirement Center.
Mrs. Boyd lived in Troy since 1992, coming from Cahokia, and was a member of Church of Christ in Troy, Illinois.
Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minerva (nee:Winn) Silkwood, her husband, Bert Boyd Sr., whom she married on February 9, 1949 and died on June 27, 2001, her sisters, Mary Darr, Mima Fornear, Frieda Boyd, and Judith White.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by one son, Bert (Nancy) Boyd Jr. of Dinuba, California, one daughter, Mrs. Sally (Daniel) Cotten of Troy, Illinois, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 10 A.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser, Illinois with Daniel Cotten officiating.
