Neil Take, 82, of Troy, IL, born Friday, October 3, 1941 in Alton, IL and passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 28, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Neil attended the Methodist Church. He was in the last graduating class at McCray-Dewey High School, Troy, IL. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army. Neil was always ready for a good fishing trip. His day was made happier spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Vera (nee Wieduwilt) Take.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (nee Burgess) Take, whom he married July 2, 1960 at Troy United Methodist Church; his children, Kevin Take of Collinsville, IL, Kurt (Becky) Take of Caseyville, IL and Dianna (Craig Hall) Take of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Andrea (Brian) Hopson, Sierra (Dustin) Jennings, Don Cary, Kyle (Samantha) Take, Lacey (Justin Lampe) Take; great-grandchildren, Donny and Alison Cary, Nathaniel and Ayden Jennings, Reed and Tanner Take, Belladonna Hopson and Nova Lampe; his brother, Don (Karen) Take of Glen Carbon, IL; His fishing buddy, John Wallace; and many other friends and relatives.
