Nancy Pauline Resmann, 95, of Caseyville, Ill., born Dec. 17, 1919, in Corning, Ark., died Monday, March 30, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Nancy was a long time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, Ill., active with the St. Ann's Sodality, and Mother's Club. She and her husband Joseph belonged to the Madison County Farm Bureau for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Resmann Sr.; a son, Joseph W. Resmann Jr.; grandson, Benjamin W. Resmann; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Vera Roulanaitis; parents, William A. and Roxanna M., nee Babel, Downs; brothers, Bud Sterling, Eugene and Carl Downs; sisters, Virgie Rodriquez, Dolores Schock and Wilma Downs; and her good friend, Raymond Hartley.
Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Christ of Troy, Ill.; a son, Michael (Louise) Resmann of Pocahontas, Ill.; sisters, Margaret Gilbert of Troy, Ill., Glenna B. "Niecie" Townzen of Caseyville, Ill., Mary Esther Borkowski of Granite City, Ill., and Shirley Downs of Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Mark A. Resmann, Tamela Walker, Lisa Carbaugh, John Roulanaitis, Karen Anderson, Deborah Roulanaitis, Joseph Roulanaitis, Virginia Roxanne Roulanaitis, Jason Roulanaitis, Jeremy Resmann, Josh Resmann, Matthew Resmann and Zachary Resmann; 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the church with Rev. Father David Wilke officiating. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery, Granite City, Ill.
