Muriel A. Pfau, 93, of Troy, IL, born June 28, 1924, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away May 1, 2018 at her home in Troy, IL.

Muriel was a faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality and the Columbiaettes of Long Island, NY. Her family and friends always came first in her life. Muriel enjoyed playing pinochle, all types of crafting, listening to music and dancing every chance she could.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, William Pfau whom she married May 4, 1946 in Dunellen, NJ and he passed away April 24, 2000; parents, Pasquale and Jennie (nee Carrozza) Capaccio; brothers, Frank, George and Arthur Capaccio; and sisters, Lucy Hirn and Marie McGovern.

Surviving are her children, Gary R. Pfau of Columbia, MO, and Cheryl (Tom) Mines of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Kelly (Riyad) Kalla, Kimberly (Steve) Barr, Christopher and Brandon Pfau; great-grandchildren, John and Sydney Barr, Kimberly and Heidi Kalla; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral mass will be said at 10 am. Monday, May 7, 2018, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL, with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
