Obituary
MSgt Robert Joseph Barajas, age 56, of Troy, Illinois died on Monday, January 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Joliet, Illinois on Otober 27, 1954.
MSgt Barajas was active in the Illinois Air National Guard stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Illinois. Robert was a member of VFW Post 976 Troy, IL. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and loved his Chicago Bears. Robert enjoyed fishing, gardening, his neighbors, but most of all he loved life!
He was preceded in death by parents, Secundino and Mary (nee Lopez) Barajas, and a brother, Thomas Barajas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joette (nee Nikiel) Barajas of Troy, IL.; daughters, Erica and Nicole Barajas of Bativia, IL.,; sisters, Sylvia Barajas of Joliet, IL., Regina Barajas of Lockport, IL., Rosemarie (John) Styx of Oakbrook, IL., and Cynthia Barajas of Naperville, IL., and brother, Ralph (Linda) Barajas of Morris, IL.
Memorials may be made to Fischer House at Jefferson Barracks or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm and Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 10 to 11 am at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services, with Full Military Honors, will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11 am at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home.
Robert's wishes were to be cremated.
