Mildred Huston, 91, of Breese, Ill., born April 19, 1919, in Troy, Ill., died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, Ill.
Mrs. Huston was a home-maker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, Ill. She was a Ladies Aid, Walther League Youth Leader and a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader. Mildred loved quilting, gardening, handywork and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward Huston whom she married on Oct. 28, 1945, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill., and who died Nov. 29, 1997; her parents, William F. and Mary Elizabeth, nee Schultze, Taake; and brothers, Carl, Raymond and Russell Taake.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Campbell of Highland, Ill.; sons, Robert L. (Carm) Huston of St. Louis, Mo., William G. (Linda) Huston of Henderson, Nev., and Brian L. (Rachael) Huston of Benld, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Satur-day, March 12, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
