Michelle L. Crooks, 30, of Troy, Ill., born October 26, 1986 in Gretna, La., passed suddenly on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

Michelle was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She worked at Lumiere Casino, St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cheryl A. Smith.

Surviving are her children, Jalen Jordan LaFrance and NyAnn Marte Matha both of Troy, Ill.; parents, Maggie Poirrier of Troy, Ill., and Trent W. Crooks of Centerville, La.; sister, Megan M. Carter of Troy, Ill.; brother, Ryan D. Poirrier of Troy, Ill.; grandmother, Rita J. Flanagan of Belle Chasse, La.; and her significant other, Glen Martin Matha of Troy, Ill.; dear niece, cousin and friend.
