Michael L. Wilson, 73, of Troy, IL, born August 28, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home in Troy, IL

Michael served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW Post 976, Troy, IL and American Legion Post 708, Troy, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray Owen and Hattie (nee Owens) Wilson; brothers, Raymond and Paul Wilson.

Surviving are his cousins, Jessica Freeman, Matthew Freeman, Kathy (Roscoe) Hill, Barbara Frish and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at RICHESON FUNERAL HOME, Troy, IL, with Deacon David Farris officiating. Interment will be Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL
