Obituary
Michael A. Sampson, 51, of Alhambra, IL., born May 5, 1958 in Granite City, IL., died Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Sampson was a self employed construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Sampson; sisters, Sandra Sampson and Kathleen Glenn; and step-daughter, Danielle Ruger.
Surviving are his wife, Dellyne (nee Bergschneider) Sampson; son, Graham Sampson of Edwardsville, IL.; daughter, Addie (Shane) Bourbon of Kentucky; mother, Ludell (Roy) Sampson of Alhambra, IL.; step-sons, Gregory Brown of Troy, IL, Joshua, Justin, and Jordan Ruger all of Collinsville, IL.; step-daughter, Chloe Brown of Troy, IL.; brothers, Thomas (Waive) Sampson of Livermore, CA., Paul, Steve and John Sampson all of Alhambra, IL., Robert (Yvonne) Sampson of Fayetteville, NC., Williams (Regina) Sampson of Milpitas, CA., and Joseph Sampson of Granite City, IL.; sisters, Patricia Conn of Valdosta, GA., Joyce (Tony) Macri of Poulsbo, WA., and Mary Sampson of Edwardsville, IL. and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Sampson will be held Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
