Michael Douglas Harris, 40, of St. Jacob, Ill., born Nov. 26, 1974, in Decatur, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 in St. Jacob, Ill.

Mike loved his family more than life. He was a graduate of UMSL class of 2003, and a member of the East Side Brewers Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and his cats, and was an avid craft beer brewer. He loved and rooted for his team the St. Louis Blues Hockey.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Alfred A. Telker.

Surviving are his wife, Christina, nee Telker, Harris; parents, James B. and Marilyn J., nee Schmitt, Harris of Troy, Ill.; brothers; James W. (Mary P.) Harris of Lebanon, Ill., Timothy B. (Leasha A.) Harris of Troy, Ill., and Kraig R. (Trixy J.) Harris of Edwardsville, Ill.; mother-in-law, Carolyn, nee Pearson, Telker; brother and sister-in-law, David (Simon Paca) Telker of Chicago, Ill., and Mary B. (Sean) Cotten of Marine, Ill.; nieces, Kimberly D. Harris, Hannah C. and Emma L. Cotten; an aunt, Gloria (Don) Parrott; and an uncle, Bradford B. (Lois) Harris; cousin and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill. The family encourages friends and relatives to dress casual and Blues Hockey apparel is appropriate.

Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Mikes wishes were to be cremated.
