Michael Eilering, age 55, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Troy, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 2, 2004. Michael graduated from Triad High School in 1967. Then he entered Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville where he received a B.S. in Science in June of '71.Michael entered the Marine Corp.immediately after graduation from the University.Michael attained the rank of 1st Lieutant and after his duty time was honorably discharged. Upon graduation Michael moved to Phoenix Arizona where he was sworn in as a Phoenix Police Officer on the Phoenix Police Department.
He is survived by his sister, Theresa (Donald) Petrillo of Granite City, IL.; three brothers, Richard (Valeria) Eilering of Collinsville, IL.,David (Larisa) Eilering of Glen Carbon,IL.and Thomas (Diane) Eilering of Troy, IL.and eight nieces and nephews.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Bernice (nee: Reinhardt)Eilering.
Friends may call Wednesday August 11, 2004 after 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illlinois.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Leo Reinhardt officiating.
Interment: Green Mount Cemetery, Belleville, IL. at 2:00 P.M.
