Melvin T. Haney, 73, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, February 14, 1946 in Sherwood, TN, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Melvin was a faithful member of Copper Creek Christian Church, Maryville, Il. His passion in sports was watching wrestling. Melvin loved his family and enjoyed the times spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Dorothy (nee Brown) Haney; brothers, Ellis and Charles Haney; and his sister, Viola Mehrten.

Surviving are his wife, Jackie (nee Crossen) Haney; sons, Robert Haney of Waterloo, Il and Melvin D. Haney of Cahokia, IL; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Lula Sullivan of Cahokia, IL and Bertha Hoerig of Burleson, TX; sister-in-laws, Kathy Bridgman of Springfield, Il and Cindy Crossen of Belleville, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
