Maxine R. Flath, 93, of Troy, IL, born February, 18, 1925 in Collinsville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Maxine was a long time Faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL. She was a member of the Helping Hands AND Ladies Aid. She was a member of the "FRIENDS" program and enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, traveling with Leroy, and the card club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy G. Flath whom she married March 23, 1946, who passed on June 17, 2003; parents, William and Laura (nee Esterlein) Deterding; brother, Don Deterding; and two sisters, Wilma Perruca and Jean Wernle.
Surviving are her children, Judy (Kenneth) Sipes and Susan (Ken) Taylor both of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Roger (Erin) Taylor, Kenneth "Tony" (Erica) Sipes, Scott Taylor, Kyle (Rachel) Sipes and Kristen (Nathan) Youngman; as well as great-grandchildren, Bradley, Anna, Mason, Ella, Austin and Everett.
