Obituary
Matilda M. Hess, nee Maden, age 88, of St. Jacob Township, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fred Hess, Sr., of St. Jacob; eight children, Fred (Mary) Hess, Jr., of Shiloh, Mary Anne (Arthur) Hackman of St. Jacob, Rosemary (Rick) Haeckel of Morgan Hills, California, John Hess of St. Louis, MO, James (Trish) Hess of St. Louis, MO, Laura (Jim) Eshcen of St. Louis, MO, Larry (Vickie) Hess of Clayton, MO and Paul (Cheryl) Hess of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; twenty-one grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois.
Mass of Christian Burial: Procession will leave Laughlin Funeral Home at 9:30, Wednesday, February 4, 2004 for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, at St. James Catholic Church in St. Jacob, Illinois.
Interment: St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery in Marine, Illinois
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. James Catholic Church, 305 Washington, St. Jacob, Illinois 62281.
