Obituary

Mrs. Mary M. Zinkgraf, (nee:Kranz),born February 21, 1912 in Troy, Illinois, died September 1, 2005.

Mrs. Zinkgraf lived in O'Fallon when she married Clifford Zinkgraf on June 14, 1942. He died August 18, 1946. Mrs. Zinkgraf started her teaching career in a country school house just north of Troy for a few short years then she transferred to the O'Fallon School District where she taught for seven years and then moved to the Triad Community Unit District #2 where she taught for 34 years. Mrs. Zinkgraf was a member of the Rebecca Lodge #544 of Troy for over 50 years. She was a member of Delta Kapp Beta Gamma, Retired Teachers Unit #III, Pin Oak Home Extension, member of Friedens United Church of Christ and the Womens Guild of the Church.

Mrs. Zinkgraf was preceded in death by her parents John and Jennie (nee:Whiteside) Kranz, her husband, Clifford Zinkgraf, who died August 1946, one sister, Mrs. Ellen Jarvis and one nephew, Edward Jarvis.

Mrs. Zinkgraf is survived by one brother, James (Edna) Kranz of Troy, Illinois, three nieces, Mrs. Jane (Max) Kaegy of Greenville, Illinois, Mrs. Carol (Ron) Klaustermeier of Troy, Illinois, Mrs. Laurie (Pat) Mersinger of St. Jacob, Illinois, and a host of great and great-great nephews and nieces.

VISITATION:Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home from 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday, September 2, 2005. FUNERAL SERVICES will be Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 11 AM from the Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel".
INTERMENT at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Illinois.
MEMORIALS are to Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Illinois.
