Obituary
Mary Elizabeth McAtee, 75, of Troy, IL, born September 3, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Mary was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, she was a Martha Stewart before Martha was popular. She was a loving mother and was so proud of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Gertrude (nee Hutter) Cummings.
Surviving are her husband, John F. McAtee whom she married December 28, 1963 at St. Phillips Catholic Church, East St. Louis, IL; children, John (Jina) McAtee Jr. MD of Glendale, IL, Daniel (Lora) McAtee of Collinsville, IL, Paul (Salina) McAtee of St. Jacob, IL and Amy (Andrew) Biermann of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Kate, Emma, Mira, Elisa, Sean, Elliot and Marley McAtee, Wyatt, Lyle and Elsa Biermann; sister Linda (Ron) Tribout of Urbana, IL

Following Mary's wishes a private family service was held, with Fr. Kevin Laughrey officiating.
