Obituary
Mary Ellen Liniger, 74, of Troy, Ill., born Aug. 29, 1942, in Highland, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mary Ellen retired from the fabric department at Walmart after 25 years as the manager. She was a Triad Class of 1960 graduate. She enjoyed her family, iced tea on the porch, making the best brownies and especially her time spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons, Gary Stephan and Michael Paul Liniger; parents, Angello and Maybelle, nee Porter, Harrigan; two brothers, Leo and Hugh Harrigan; and a sister, Delores (Roy) Walker.
Surviving are her husband, Gary Liniger, whom she married June 29, 1963, in Troy, Ill.; two sons, Matthew Liniger of Troy, Ill., and Mark (Veronica) Liniger of Granite City, Ill.; a daughter, Mary Pat (Johnny Kissane) Liniger of Glen Carbon, Ill.; grandchildren, Joshua and Brooke Davis, Catelyn and Makayla Liniger and Joey Kissane; a brother-in-law, Larry Liniger of Collinsville, Ill.;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of good friends. Memorials may be made to Augusta Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at
Richeson Funeral Home with Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will be in Augusta Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
