Obituary
Mary Jane Allen, 80, of Edwardsville, Ill., born March 27, 1926 in Clinton, Ill., died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Edwardsville Care Center, Edwardsville, Ill.
Mrs. Allen was a nurses aid in Mountain View Nursing Home. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Madison, Ill. Mrs. Allen enjoyed card playing, bingo, and most of all her family which she took great pride in.
Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Allen, her parents, Charles and Katherine, (nee:Hasty) Ryan, two sons, Frank and Jimmy Allen, three brothers, Charles, Vernon, and Donald Ryan, and two sisters, Margie Mosses and Verda Stogsdill.
Surviving are a son, Carl Lee (Brenda) Allen of Lebanon, Mo., three daughters, Charlotte "Sue" (John) Jergenson of Troy, Ill., Judy (George) Harlan of Granite City, Ill., and Sandy (Kenneth) McDowell of Granite City, Ill., a brother, Bobby (Tony) Ryan of Idaho, a sister, Juanita Buckingham of Granite City, Ill., 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
VISITATION:Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 5, 2006.
FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel", Troy, Ill., with the Rev. Paul Epps officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the family.
