Marvin L. Wray, 90, of Troy, IL, born Aug. 5, 1927, in Coldwater, MO, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, in Caseyville, IL.
Marvin was a long time member of Troy United Methodist Church, Troy, IL. Serving in the USAF during the Korean Conflict and member of the Troy VFW Post 976. He loved his family and always appreciated the time he spent with them. He was so proud to celebrate his 90th birthday and to hold his great-granddaughter Ella.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan (nee Schiano) Wray whom he married August 29, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA, and who passed away July 19, 2013; parents, Charley and Mary Frances (nee Moore) Wray; brother, Arnold Ray and sister Opal Graham.
Surviving are his daughters, Janet Wray of Maryville, IL and Betty McGarry of Belleville, IL; grandson; Patrick (Lauren) McGarry; great-granddaughter, Ella McGarry; and sisters, Edith Prater and Betty Nesmeyer.
Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Troy United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at Troy United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Adams officiating. Burial in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
