Martha J. Swillum, 90, of Troy, IL, born April 12, 1927 in Granite City, IL, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO
Martha was a long time member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. She was a member of St. Ann Sodality, St. Jerome's quilters and Friends of the Library quilters. Martha enjoyed sewing, playing bingo and the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester "Andy" Swillum.
Surviving are her children, Joseph (Claudia) Swillum of Germany, Mary (Keith) Jones of Troy, IL, and Catherine Brown of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Sharon, Andrea, Richard, Brigitta and Eric Jones, and Juliane Schurig; sisters, Arlene (Mike) Naglich and Delores Polson both of Lebanon, MO.
