Marlene M. Watson, 89, of Troy, IL, born Monday, September 7, 1931 in Alton, IL and passed away on August 27, 2021 at Eden Village, Glen Carbon, IL.

Marlene was a devoted member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, IL.  She enjoyed her bible study classes especially Book of Revelations.  Marlene enjoyed traveling and a favorite destination was Hawaii.  Most of all she loved her grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with them

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Watson; daughters, Carol Lynn Jones and Gail E. Patterson; and her sister Elizabeth Dustmann.

Surviving are her sons, Barry (Linda) Watson of Troy, IL and Chris A. Watson of Dorsey, IL; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held 10 to 11 am on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church, 7775 Collinsville Road, Troy, IL.

Services will be held 11 am on Monday September 13, at Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating.  Interment will be in Vallhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey, IL.
