E. Marlene Lautz, 82, of Collinsville, IL, born February 23, 1933, in Shiloh, IL, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab Center, Edwardsville, IL.

Marlene Loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the time she spent with them. She loved to watch auto racing especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the late Dale Earnhardt, she enjoyed going to the casino and playing the poker machines. She was a caretaker to pets and loved and enjoyed her cat Oliver. She was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Lautz Sr.; parents George A. and Mildred L. (nee Ayers) Zimmerman.

Surviving are her children, James Lautz of Troy, IL, Marvin J. Lautz Jr. of Alton, IL and Jamie D. (Marie DeJesus) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Marlene's life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles West officiating. Because of Marlenes love for the Cardinals, her family has requested those in attendance please wear Cardinal attire.
