Marjorie L. "Marge" Aebischer, 88, of St. Jacob, Ill., born Nov. 9, 1921, in St. Jacob, Ill., died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, Ill.

Mrs. Aebischer was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ in St. Jacob, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Aebischer whom she married on July 29, 1947, at the High Street Methodist Church, Muncie, Ind.; a son, Chris Aebischer; and parents, Elmer and Pearl, nee Hill, Blumer.

Surviving are her son, Steve (Terry) Aebischer of Highland, Ill.; her daughter, Marsha (Bill) Maxedon of Shelbyville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Ryan (Candice) Anderson, Louis (fiancee Shauna Galvin) Maxedon, Drew Aebischer, Susan Aebischer, Lauren Aebischer, and Reid Aebischer; a great-grandchild, Margo Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Blumer of St. Jacob, Ill., Janette Fox of St. Jacob, Ill., and Melba Aebischer of Highland, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Keystone Cemetery or St. Jacob Lions Club.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, Ill., with Rev. Gary Kniepkamp officiating. Burial will be at Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
