Marijke Jones-Boels, 53, of Troy, born February 5, 1962, in Genk, Belgium, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at her home with her family by her side.


Marijke was a member of Troy United Methodist Church. She was employed as the Central Region Sales Manager for Acosta Sales and Marketing. She was a professional photographer. She owned and operated Foto Shol for several years in Hamond, Belgium. She moved all over the world with her husband in the Air Force, before moving to Troy, Ill., in 2005. Marijke was an excellent cook, her food was enjoyed by family and friends. Many of her recipes were mimicked, but never recreated. Most of all, Marijke was a loving wife and mother, working always to make better opportunities for her children and their education. She made friends all over the world, and will be missed by all who knew her.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Miel and Betsy Boels; and her father-in-law, Robert Jones.

Surviving are her husband, Robert B. Jones of Troy, Ill.; her children, Robert, James, Thomas, and Katherine Jones all of Troy, Ill.; two sisters, Hilde (Dirk) Boels of Antwerp, Belgium, and Marleen Boels of Bree, Belgium; her mother-in-law, Mary Nolette of Meredith, N.H.; brother and sisters-in-law, James (Amy) Jones, Linda Taylor, Sheila Heiker, Lorraine (Robert) Hickey, Robin Grover, Mary Carriere, and Rachel Carlson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home, and noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Troy United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Troy United Methodist Church, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Dennis Price officiating.
