Mrs. Marie E. Helldoerfer,(nee: Emig), 86 of Troy, Illinois, born August 17, 1919, died September 24, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

Mrs. Helldoerfer lived in Troy since 1963 coming from the Lebanon and Trenton area. She enjoyed traveling with her children, she always put the family first. She would never turn down the chance to go shopping or out to eat. She loved watching Lawrence Welk on TV.
Mrs. Helldoerfer was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church.

Mrs. Helldoerfer is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary (nee:Bugger) Emig, her husband, Aloysius Helldoerfer whom she married on May 16, 1950 and died March 28, 1998, a son, Larry Helldoerfer who died March 4, 1998, a daughter-in-law, Janet (Mersinger) Helldoerfer, who died March 1, 1996, a son-in-law, Al Taylor, who died April 25, 1995, a brother, Oliver Emig, and a grandchild, Keri Suzanne.

Mrs. Helldoerfer is survived by one son, Gerard (Paula) Helldoerfer of Troy, IL, three daughters, Mrs. Mary (Mike) Neal of Troy, IL, Mrs. Marilyn Taylor of Troy, IL, Mrs. Barbara (Bill) Dolosic of Troy, IL, three brothers, Wilfred (Regina)Emig of Bartelso, IL, Gaulbred (Clara) Emig of Trenton, IL, Severen Emig of Trenton, IL, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernadine Emig of Trenton, IL, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Kayleigh Meier.

VISITATION:Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4 P.M. on Monday, September 26, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be from St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, with Rev. Msgr. Virgil W. Mank, V.F. officiating. Burial will at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Black Jack, IL. Memorials are in the form of Masses or to St. John Neumann Catholic School.
