Obituary

Margie Louise Warner, 74, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 4, 1931,
in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, in St. Louis, Mo.

Margie worked as a teletype operator for Edward Jones Investments. She enjoyed playing bingo and family activities. She especially enjoyed those times spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Fibber" Warner whom she married on Oct. 7, 1950, in Caseyville, Ill., and who died Nov. 15, 2010; parents, Reuben and Ethel, nee Melvin, Gaines; brothers, Rueben, Daniel, Robert and Charles Gaines; and sister, Helen Rodenberg.

Surviving are her daughter, Terri (fiance Jimmie Lybarger Jr.) Suter of St. Jacob, Ill.; son, Richard Lee (Sherry) Warner of Fairview Heights, Ill.; grandchildren, Tobey Alan (Julia) Suter Sr., Corey Dean (Kylie) Suter, Richard Lee (Karie) Warner Jr., Kayla (Joshua) Reynolds and Ryan (Rachel) Lybarger; great-grandchildren, Tobey Suter Jr., Wyatt Suter, Lilian Suter, Trenton Warner, Logan Warner and Katelyn Reynolds; brothers, Homer (Ellen) Gaines of St. Louis, Mo., and Jim (Charlotte) Gaines of Troy, Ill.; stepbrother-in-law, Robert (Jane) Converse of Troy, Ill.; and sister, Betty Shepard of Glen Carbon, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Ministries Unlimited or to the charity of choice.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles West officiating.
