Margaret Lee "Margie" Geiler, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 23, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Marshall Medical Center, Placerville, Calif.

Margie was a charter member of Our Lord's Lutheran Church, Maryville, Ill. She was a strong woman of faith. Family was of utmost importance in her life. She was a charter member of the "FRIENDS" program, Margie loved being with her friends and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Geiler; parents, George A. and Ruth Ann, nee Gillen, Sticksel; brothers, Harry D. Sticksel and Walter Sticksel; and a sister, Ruth M. Guiette.

Surviving are her children, Robert L. (Lynn) Geiler of St. Louis, Mo., David M. (Deborah) Geiler of Maryville, Ill., John E. (Patti) Geiler of Stockton, Calif., and Karen L. (Erick) Cummings-Larson of St. Louis, Mo.;  grandchildren, Christina (Nathan) Wyatt, Christopher (Nicole) Geiler, Patrick (Kristen) Cummings, Daniel (Stephanie) Cummings, Shawn Geiler, Justin Geiler, Elijah Geiler, Frank Geiler, and Grace Geiler; great-grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, and Josie Wyatt, Camden and Carsyn Geiler, Claire and Austin Cummings; brother, George A. Sticksel of Grizzly Flats, Calif.; sister, Janet Borowitz of Carbondale, Ill.; and many cousins and friends
