Obituary
Mrs. Margaret J. (nee:Tessaro) Behrend, age 83, born March 9, 1922, in Maryville, IL, died September 25, 2005 at Maryville Manor Nursing Home.
Margaret (Marge/Margie) was born to the parents of John and Rose Tessaro. She was the fourth child along with sister Mary Margaret 6/7/14-11/16/2001, brother Mike born 1911-1920 dying with diptherhia, and Mike Joe born 6/3/20.
Margie attended Maryville Grade School for eight years and attended Collinsville High School graduating in the Class of 1940.
Mrs. Behrend was a Member of St. Charles Lady Lions Club, the International Ladies Garment Workers of America, member of Women of the Moose in Edwardsville, IL, member of the Altar Society of the Church, one of the Founders of Mother of Perpetual Help Church, and a member of the first board to help organize the building of the church.
Mrs. Behrend is survived by a brother, Mike (Lorene) Tessaro of Maryville, IL, and a host of nephews and nieces.
VISITATION:Friends may call at the Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Maryville, IL on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A.M. at Mother of Perpetual Help Church with Fr. Stephen Sotiroff officiating. Burial will be at Fairland Cemetery, Maryville, IL. Memorials are in to be made in the form of Masses, to Troy Lions Club or Donors Choice.
