Mamie Howard Mallett's Obituary
Mamie Mallett, nee Howard, 97, of Troy, Ill., born May 21, 1912, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Mallett was a homemaker. She was a member of Junior Service and Daughters of the Nile.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, David Mallett; parents, Charles and Anna Howard; and a sister, Irene Carl.
Surviving are her daughter, Annette (Lew) Haines of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Dr. Monica (Dr. Matt) DiMagno, Mamie (Barton) Harvey and David McCarthy; great-grandchildren, Charles and Elena DiMagno, Anna, Marie and John Harvey.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates Mausoleum in Glen Carbon, Ill.
