Lynn Marie Loyet, 60, of Troy, Ill., born May 7, 1949, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at her home.
Lynn was an artist and teacher who volunteered much of her time and talent at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Louis, Mo., helping out with the shelter.
Surviving are her parents, Kenneth L. and Julia G., nee Abert, Loyet; brother, Steve L. (Connie) Loyet of Fairview Heights, Ill.; sister, Karen (Pat) Kuhl of O'Fallon, Ill.; and nephews, Nathan Kuhl of Everette Wash., and Adam Kuhl of O'Fallon, Ill.
Memorials may be made in the form of Masses or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at the church with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Black Jack, Ill.
