Louie Barker, 58, of Collinsville, Illinois, born August 10, 1948 in Highland, Illinois, died August 9, 2007 at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Louie lived in the Collinsville area since 1970. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Troy, Illinois. He was an Operating Engineer for 520 Local. He was a Soccer Coach, Baseball Coach American Legion Coach and Little League Coach and he traveled and coached Select Soccer Teams.
Louie is survived by his wife Carol Mae (nee: Kunz) Barker of Collinsville, Illinois, whom he married September 25, 1965 in St. Jacob, Illinois, his sons, Robert (Shelley) Barker of Caseyville, Illinois, and Ryan (Lisa) Barker of Maryville, Illinois, his brother, R.E. (Tammy) Barker of Hamel, Illinois, his grandchildren, Drake, Skie and Donovan Barker, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob (Tina) Kunz of St. Jacob, Illinois, his niece, Susan (Michael) Smith-Anderson and a great-nephew, Seth Anderson, and two nephews Tyler and Tanner Kunz.
Louie is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Alma (nee: Brewer) Barker.
Memorials for Louie Barker may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 12, 2007.
FUNERAL SERVICE: will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 13, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Troy, Illinois with the Reverend James Gullen officiating. Burial will be at Forever Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois.
