Louanna E. Shaver, 101, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 11, 1914, in Mill Creek, Ill., passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Eden Village, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Louanna and Scott made many moves over the years with his job with the Army Corp of Engineers, Thebes, East St. Louis, Carlyle, Troy, Ill., and Cape Girardeau, Mo. Scott was the project engineer during the construction of Carlyle Lake in 1960-67. She and Scott retired to Otterback Lake in Minnesota spending several years there and wintering in Arizona. Her last 12 years she spent at the Fountains of Troy. Louanna loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Shaver who passed away in 1978; and sisters, Eva, Madaline and Naomi.
Surviving are her children, Carol Taylor of Troy, Ill., and Carl Shaver of Carlyle, Ill.; grandchildren, Scott Taylor, Fred (Kim) Taylor, Shelly (Matt) Litzenburg, and Margo (Kevin) Guetersloh; great-grandchildren, Riley and Claire Litzenburg, Kayla and Kara Guetersloh.
