Loretta L. Dunstan, having been fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, and surrounded by her loving family, passed away on February 2, 2018 at Eden Village, Glen Carbon. A resident of Troy, IL, Loretta, age 96, was born in East St. Louis August 31, 1921.

Loretta was a long time member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. She enjoyed traveling, playing games especially with her grandchildren and crocheting gifts for all her family. She was so proud of her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all they accomplished in life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Rood Dunstan whom she married November 28, 1942 at St. Jerome Catholic Church and he passed away April 24, 1969; a son, Jay Dunstan,; her parents, Alfred C. and Alma (nee Donner) Hellwig; her brothers, Alfred and Richard Hellwig; and her sisters Viola Reuss and Elinore Thompson.

Surviving are her children, Lanita (Gary) Lewis of Wildwood, MO, Elaine (Roger) Archibald of St. Albans, MO, Ronald (Mary Lou) Dunstan of Salem, NH, and Alan (Linda) Dunstan of Troy, IL, Daughter-in-law, Susie (Augie) Campagna of Edwardsville, IL; grandchildren, Renee (Chuck Ryan) Dunstan, Theresa Dunstan, Michael Dunstan, Steven (Jennifer) Lewis, Eric Lewis, David Archibald, Brian (Julie) Archibald, Mary (Alex) Holt, Jennifer (Brett) Henschen, Shane (Beth) Firsching, Luke (Michele) Firsching, Emily (Nate) Motsinger; great-grandchildren, Riley, Ryder, Bentley, Savannah and Scarlet Lewis, Molly and Jillian Archibald, Miles Holt, Jayden and Averi Henschen and Trentin Firsching; sister-in-laws, Dixie Hellwig of St. Louis, MO and Dorothy Folkerts of Collinsville, IL; brother-in-law, Bob Dunstan of Florida; Aunt, great aunt and friend to many.
