Obituary

Lois Woodward, 59, of East Alton, Illinois, born December 1, 1946 in Alton, Illinois, died May 10, 2006 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Mrs. Woodward lived in the Alton area all her life. Before her retirement two years ago, Mrs. Woodward was Assistant Manager in the Bakery Department for East Alton School District #13. Mrs. Woodward was a member of New United Methodist Church of Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Mrs. Woodward is preceded in death by her father, Gene Estes.

Mrs Woodward is survived by her husband Charles P. Woodward of East Alton, Illinois, whom she married February 18, 2002, her mother Mrs. Dorothy (nee:Stephens) Estes of Bethalto, Illinois, one daughter, Wendy (significant other-Greg Dial) Pierce of Ewardsville, Illinois, two step-sons, Tony (Stacey) Woodward of Rosewood Heights, Illinois, and Andy Woodward of Rosewood Heights, Illinois, one step-daughter, Mrs. Barbara (Art) Deck of Glen Carbon, Illinois, one brother, James Estes of Wood River, Illinois, one sister, Mrs. Joyce "Jo" (Ron) Bright of Bethalto, Illinois, one niece, Mrs. Donna (Don) Lawrence of Grafton, Illinois, one nephew, Scott (Carla) Bright of Valdosta, Georgia, and five grandchildren.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 13, 2006.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at the Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel" at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 14, 2006, with the Rev. Chris Ritter officiating. Interment will be at Wanda Cemetery, South Roxana, Illinois.

Memorials may be the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
