Linda J. Frutiger, 82, 0f O'Fallon, IL, born October 23, 1939, in Carlinville, IL, passed away at her home in O'Fallon, IL on April 6, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

Linda was a member of the O'Fallon United Church of Christ.  She was an educator in the Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 system from 1973 to her retirement in 2001.  Linda enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She especially enjoyed listening to her son, Craig, play the piano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Frutiger, who she married on June 21, 1959, at St. Jacob United Church of Christ and who passed away on November 25, 2014; her parents, Plenty C. "Cope" and Hazel M. (nee Pence) Blaeuer and her brother, David A. Blaeuer.

Surviving are her children, Carma (Dr. Clinton M.) Smith of O'Fallon, IL and Craig Frutiger of O'Fallon, IL; her grandchildren, Elise C., Evan H. and Lawson M. Smith; and her brother Mark W. (Sharon) Blaeuer of Pearcy, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL with the Rev. Martha Thierheimer officiating.  Interment will be in Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
