Linda Sue Cissell, 66, of Troy, IL born October 21, 1954 in St. louis, MO and passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home in Troy, IL.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.  She was a long-time member of the Troy, IL community who was sweet, soft spoken, and respected.  She will also be remembered for her many talents including making dolls, painting, arranging flowers, basket weaving, and restoring antiques.

Linda graduated from Normandy High School in 1973 where she met her husband, Tom Jr. They moved to Troy in 1979 with their two sons, Tom III and Ken.  They soon joined the Troy United Methodist Church where she was an active member for over 40-years, including working Mother's Day Out, teaching Sunday School for pre-K, and serving many roles in Fidelis Circle including president.

Linda worked for several banks in Troy including FCB, where she retired in 2019.

Linda loved her pets and treated them like members of her family.  Her love for animals led her to help with many fundraisers, most recently for Partners For Pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Edna (nee Wardenburg) Henry.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Cissell Jr., children, Thomas (April) Cissell III of Troy, IL , Kenneth (Michelle) Cissell of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Trenten, Riley and Peyton Cissell, Christian Kuethe, Brennan and Jacob Bauer, Colton Cissell, Julia Bauer and Noah Cissell; her brother, Shelby (Katherine) Henry; and her sister, Shirly Naylor.

Visitation was 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, July 27, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL and 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Troy United Methodist Church, Troy, IL.

Funeral services were held at 11am on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Troy United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Adams officiating.
