Obituary
Letha Mae Thomas, age 86, of Troy, Illinois, died on September 2, 2010 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Marion, Illinois on July 14, 1924 to Harry and Letha Mae (nee Scott) Cook. Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Company.
She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church and White Shrine.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Eugene Thomas; son, John Thomas, and parents, Harry and Letha Mae Cook.
Surviving are her son, Harry (Gloria) Thomas of Grandview, MO.; daughter, Barbara (James) Kistner of Edwardsville, IL.; daughter in-law, Karen Thomas of Troy, IL.; brother, William Cook (Shirley) of Franklin, IN.; sister, Harriette Cagle (James) of Marion, IL.; 7 grandchildren, Kenneth, Eric, Scott, and Danielle Thomas, and Tom, David, and Jason Kistner, and 4 great grandchildren, Zak, Abbi and Josie Thomas, and Trenton Kistner.
Memorials may be made to Troy UMC Bus Fund.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Troy United Methodist Church, Troy, IL.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Troy United methodist Church with the Reverend Dennis Price officiating.
Interment will follow in in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
