Leo F. Feldman, 86, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 7, 1922, in Glen Carbon, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Feldman was a truck driver for Brooks Ketchup Company, Pizzini Distributing and Pur Gas of Collinsville now Ameri-Gas Co. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill.; a charter member of VFW Post 5691, Collinsville, Ill., DAV, Edwardsville, Ill., and the St. Louis Gateway Battle of the Bulge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, nee Chapman, Feldman; and his parents, Louis and Julia, nee Hrbacek, Feldman.
He is survived by two sons, Bill (Donna) Feldman of Troy, Ill., and Robert (Beverly) Feldman of Troy, Ill.; two daughters, Linda (Ron) Bonds of Staunton, Ill., and Margie (David) Winters of Greenville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Suzanne Phegley, Michael Feldman, Scott Feldman, Sara Mayden, Laura Metcalf, Jessica Winters, Joshua Winters, Nathan Winters, Jamie Martin and Janet Rodriquez; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 3009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill. VFW Honor Guard Services will be held at 6 pm.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
