Lee A. Suter, 64, of St. Jacob, Ill., born Sept. 21, 1950, in Highland, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at his home in St. Jacob, Ill.
Lee was a 1970 graduate from Illinois School for the Deaf. He was a member of the Illinois School for the Deaf Alumni Association, Operating Engineers Local 520, Highland Moose Lodge 2479, Troy Ill., Volunteer Fire Department with 25 years of service and the Madison County Fire Fighter Association. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, farmer, and enjoyed wood working. Most of all he enjoyed life, his family and all of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gustiv "Gus" Suter.
Surviving are his wife, Sondra, nee Holshouser, Suter of St. Jacob, Ill.; sons, Tobey A. (Julia) Suter Sr. of Troy, Ill., and Corey D.(Kylie) Suter of Highland, Ill.; his mother, Dorothy L., nee Keck, Suter of Highland, Ill.; stepsons, Jason (Kristi) Sutter of Troy, Ill., and Tony Di-Tucci Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughters, Niki (Steve) Owens and Angela (Zach) Simmons both of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Tobey Suter Jr., Wyatt Suter, Lilian Suter and Lane Suter; and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Witt officiating. Interment will be private in Friedens Cemetery.
