LaVerne Joyce "Joy" Will, 78, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Sept. 21, 1935, in Jonesville, Va., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in Maryville, Ill.
Joy retired from Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University where she was a CRNA and taught anesthesiology for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Will; and her mother, Ruby Marie, nee Smith, Thomason.
Surviving are her children, Kevin Will and Curtis (Kate) Will of Florida and Cynthia L. (Richard) Naliborski of New Athens, Ill.; grandchildren, Craig (Crystal) Naliborski, Jessica (Scott) Buchanan, Zachary, Emily and Adam Will, Stephanie (Andy) McCall, and Kayleigh and Kira Will; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judith (Edward) Owens of Troy, Ill., and Janet R. Stahlhut of Edwardsville, Ill.; brothers, Jeremiah (Claudia) Smith of Florida, William Thomason of Bradenton, Fla., and Herbert Thomason of Hannibal, Mo.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Charles West officiating.
