LaVerne H. Buehrer, 100 years and 10 months, of Troy, IL, born Sunday, January 27, 1924, in Troy, IL and passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Eden Village in Glen Carbon, IL.

LaVerne was a lifetime faithful member of Friedens United Church of Christ Troy, IL, where she was active with the Women's Guild and quilting team.  She was a member of Madison County Farm Bureau.  Laverne was very proud of her volunteer work making over 400  lap pads and donating them to the hospice programs in the area.  Most of all she loved her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Buehrer whom she married November 18, 1944, at Friedens United Church of Christ and he passed away on September 11, 2005; Tim Allen; her son-in-law, Jim Grote; parents, Frank and Carrie (nee Frey) Adelhardt; and her brothers, Les (Ruby) Adelhardt and Clarence (Jane) Adelhardt.

Surviving are her daughters, Deb (Tom) Kapp of Edwardsville, IL and Dianne (Dale Lane) Grote of Collinsville, IL; her grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Collins, Nathan Grote, Kendall Kendrick, Kasey (Wendy) Kapp and Kylee (Kory) Kuba; great-grandchildren, Riley Collins, Shannon Collins, Trent (Brittany) Kendrick, Tucker Kendrick, Chandler Kapp, Mya Kuba, Ela Kuba, Austin Allen and Ally Allen; and her great-great-grandson, Lucca Kendrick; nieces, nephews, cousin and many dear friends.

Visitation for LaVerne from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, November 25, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. And 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Tuesday, November 26 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL, with Rev. Tim Harrison officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
