Laura E. Loomis, 52, St. Jacob, Ill., born on Jan. 20, 1961, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Ill.
Laura was a member of St. Jacob United Methodist Church in St. Jacob, Ill., she was the owner of the Troy Sizzor Shak in Troy Ill., from 1993 to 2011, a graduate of Triad High School Class of 1979 and a member of the St. Jacob Jaycees. Laura loved her family especially her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vincenta, nee Hopkins, Loomis.
Surviving are her father, Russell Loomis of St. Jacob, Ill.; brothers, James F. (Debra) Loomis of Collinsville, Ill., and Jeffery L. (Darla) Loomis of Germantown, Ill.; sisters, Carolyn R. (Dennis) Porter of Vancover, Wash., and Susan E. (Andrew) Loomis-Steinkoenig of Highland, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Dennis, Kimberly and Christopher Porter, Christina Loomis, Jamie Giles, Timothy (Jamie) Loomis, Nicholas Loomis and Owen and Riley Steinkoenig; eight great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials to Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, and from 10 to 11 am Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home in St. Jacob, Ill.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Bradshaw officiating. Interment in Keystone Cemetery in St. Jacob, Ill.
