Larry E. Sanderson, 72, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, February 4, 1952, in East St. Louis, IL and passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Larry attended Cathedral of St. Peters in Belleville, IL.  He was an avid sports memorabilia collector, along with specialty coins and stamps, buying and selling at his former shop, Belleville Sparts Cards and at the St. Clair Fairgrounds Market.  He was a Belleville East Class of "70" graduate and was part of the undefeated football team that year.  Larry was a sports trivia buff and enjoyed sharing his knowledge.  He was a kind and very generous person and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. (nee Milazzo) Sanderson whom he married September 20, 1980, at St. Peter's Cathedral in Belleville, IL and she passed away on December 29, 2017; his parents, Clyde E. and Margie (Nugent) Sanderson; and his brother, Ronald L. Sanderson.

Surviving are his significant other, Karen McMann of Belleville, IL; sisters, Sherry L. (Sam) Kemp of New Baden, IL, Nancy J. (Mark) Westhoff of Millstadt, IL and Margie L. (Garry Gotto) Sanderson of Belleville, IL; nieces, Elizabeth Shannon West of Naple, FL and Christine (Timothy) Allen of little Rock, SR; his great-niece Cecelia Allen and many friends.
