Obituary
Kevin Jay Evans, age 53, formerly of the Troy area, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona.
Mr. Evans was the Supervisor of Criminal Investigations for the Department of Homeland Security. He had served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the American Legion.
Preceeding him in death were his parents James William and Bernice (nee Marlen) Evans; brother, Marlen Evans, and sister, Ann Marie Porter.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Bugger) Evans of Yuma, AZ; son, James (Amanda Rose) Evans of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Jacqueline Rose (Paul)Turnbloom of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Audrey and Kevin Evans, and Michael and Sophia Turnbloom.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL and 10 to 11 am Tuesday at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 2, 2010
at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL with Fr. Pat Jakel officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
