Kathy Smiley, 81, of Troy, IL, born September 30, 1939 in Hillsboro, IL and passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Evelyn's House, St. Louis, MO.

Kathy enjoyed her Bible studies, reading, research and teaching.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smiley Sr, who passed away June 29, 2020; her son, Robert "Butch" Smiley Jr.; her parents, Alfred and Lorraine (nee Harrison) Coyle and her siblings, Leon, Alfred Jr, Willard, Albert, and Sally Ann Coyle.

Surviving are her children; Laurie (Carl) Keegan-Leavy of Glen Carbon, IL, Jim (Mary) Smiley of Highland, IL,  Michelle (Tom) Biggs of Hamel, IL; grandchildren, Andrea (Derek) Morton, David Smiley, Christina Morrow, Kassandra Smiley, Josh Smiley, Tiffany (Justin) Dixon, Shelby (Adam) Bernaix, Brittany (Ryan) Cunefare and Brandyn Biggs; great-grandmother of Wesley Morton, Austin Morrow, Teagan Dixon, Anlsey Dixon, Keeley Dixon, Shaylee Bernaix and Jackson Cunefare.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Valleyview Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL. with Rev. Jeff Chamberlain officiating.
