Kathy Jane Brendel died April 16, 2021 in Okeechobee, Florida, she was born May 25, 1949 in Bristol, Virginia to the late Kearney and Allie (Wells) Grace. A resident of Lakeport since the 1980s, she was the owner of Brendel Mobile Home Park. She attended Maple Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship provided. She enjoyed small stakes gambling, such as the slot machines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Brendel.

She is survived by her sisters, K. June Miller of Kansas City, Missouri and Eleanor Carico (Donnie) of Bristol, Tennessee; son, Michael Steven Lyons of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Alex Lyons of Lakeport, Florida, Sarah Lyons of Palatka, Florida, and Solace Lyons of Deltona, Florida; one great granddaughter, Adalynn J. Tubbs of Palatka, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Richeson Funeral Home, 205 Edwardsville Rd, Troy, IL 62294. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland, Illinois.
