Obituary
Kathryn Jo Ann Courtney, 77, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 23, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Kathryn worked at Anderson Hospital for over 23 years as a nurse. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal fan of Cardinals Baseball and never missed watching a game, she also enjoyed crocheting and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwain L. and Helen J., nee Longcor, Hawley.
Surviving are her children, Jeff Courtney (Cathy Giloman) of Troy, Ill., Jim Courtney (Diane Moore) of Collinsville, Ill., Pamela (Danny) Glazer of Swansea, Ill., and Patricia Elder (Tony Penrod) of Shiloh, Ill.; six grandchildren, Amber Courtney, Kristen (Mario Jimenez) Courtney, Brian Courtney, Guy (Julie) Jackson, Brenan (Lisa) Jackson and Timothy (Kelly) Moore; and seven great-grandchildren, Zoey Jimenez, Kylie Courtney, Bo, Libby, Sophia and Natalie Jackson and Meredith Helm.
