Kathleen Ann "Kate" Clancy, 68, of Troy, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 17, 2002. Mrs. Clancy worked at H&R Block as an instructor and a tax preparer. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Troy. Mrs. Clancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Clancy, in 1988. She is survived by two sons, Jon (Sherry) Clancy of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and Michael Clancy of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; three daughters, Kathy (Michael) Sparks of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Patricia (Richard) Nicolet of Troy and Valarie (Edward) Harrington of Troy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Mandy, Jeremy, Rachel, Zeke, Annie, Jon Patrick, Megan, Jessica, Edward, Katelynn, and Jacob. Memorials may be made to the St. Jerome Catholic Church Memorial Fund. Visitation and Prayer Service was held Tuesday, August 20, at 4:00 at Laughlin Funeral Home Chapel.
