Katherine Ann Grundy, 14, of Troy, Ill., born February 24, 1994 in Maryville, Ill., died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hosp. in St. Louis, Mo.

Miss Grundy was a member of Troy United Methodist Church. Katherine was an 8th grade student at Triad Middle School where she was an Honor Student. She loved music which was evident by her being a member of the chorus, Show Choir, and her participation in Middle School musicals. She thoroughly enjoyed playing for the O'Fallon Styx Lacrosse team.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Floyd Grundy and Jim Clock.

Surviving are her parents Jack Grundy of Troy, Ill. and Janice (nee Clock) Grundy of Troy, Ill.; brother, Jim Grundy of Troy, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Grundy of Oshkosh, Wisc.; maternal grandmother Joanne (Larry) Witte of Stanwood, Mich.; great-grandmothers Josephine Clock of Alma, Mich., and Ann Witte of Grand Rapids, Mich.; aunt, Karen (Gordon) Wenk of Williamston, Mich.; uncles Bill (Debbie) Grundy of South Barrington, Ill. and Bill (Barb) Clock of Ypsilanti, Mich.; cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.
