Obituary
Karen Elaine Fritchen, age 52, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, was born October 1, 1951, in Newark, Ohio. She died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Ms. Fritchen was a self employed animal trainer at "Majestic Stables" in Glen Carbon for the past 12 years. She moved here from Definance, Missouri, and was formerly of Elkhart, Indiana.
Ms. Fritchen was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Dean and Grace Karen, nee Rodgers, Grover.
Surviving are a daughter Marketta Irmscher of Ohio; a brother, Vernon "Butch" (Ann) Grover of Ohio; a sister, Sandra (Leonard) Messina of Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Gathering of Friends will take place at the Laughlin Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, June 30, 2004 from 6 PM to 7 PM where there will be a Memorial Service at 7 PM celebrating the life and love of Karen.
